The Men We Love Are Here. Keep It In Alberta.
Every November, Albertans are reminded of the importance of prostate cancer awareness, men’s health and supporting research that can help change lives.
But there is another question worth asking:
Where can your support make a difference right here at home?
For the Prostate Cancer Centre, the answer is Alberta.
One in six Alberta men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer in their lifetime. Behind that statistic are fathers, husbands, partners, brothers, sons, friends, neighbours and colleagues — and the families who stand beside them.
The Prostate Cancer Centre is a charitable, non-profit organization located at Rockyview General Hospital in Calgary. For more than two decades, PCC has been helping Albertans affected by prostate cancer through care, education, research, treatment and support.
And when you walk through our doors, you can see where your support makes a difference.
You can see the clinicians helping patients navigate a diagnosis. You can see the teams providing mental wellness and support services. You can see the researchers working to advance prostate cancer care. And you can see the MAN VAN® — Canada’s first mobile men’s health clinic — travelling into communities across Alberta to provide free PSA blood testing and men’s health education.
The MAN VAN® serves approximately 7,000 men each year and over 80,000 to date, bringing healthcare access directly to the Alberta communities where men live and work.
That’s the idea behind Keep It In Alberta.
When you donate or fundraise for KIIA, your support stays in Alberta and helps fund programs and services delivered through the Prostate Cancer Centre.
Our in-house research program has completed more than 100 clinical trials, with 30 studies ongoing in 2026. Recognized as a leading clinical research site, PCC consistently ranks among the top recruiting sites in North America, with several studies among the highest-enrolling sites globally. This research gives Alberta patients access to innovative therapies while establishing PCC as a trusted partner for industry sponsors and research partners.
That also includes free PSA testing through the MAN VAN®, clinical research, patient support, education and other programs that help Alberta men and their families.
And we’ve seen what Albertans can accomplish when they come together.
In 2025, Keep It In Alberta raised more than $661,000. The year before, the campaign raised more than $873,000, including a matching gift that helped expand the MAN VAN®’s reach.
But KIIA isn’t just about writing a cheque.
You can start your own fundraiser. Build a team. Get your workplace involved. Take on a personal challenge. Organize an event. Ask your friends and family to support you. Or simply make a donation.
There is no single way to make a difference.
There is only the opportunity to do something for the men and families in your own community.
Because prostate cancer isn’t an abstract problem. It affects real Albertans.
The men we love are here.
This November, help support them here.
Keep It In Alberta.
