This year’s theme of National Volunteer Week was “volunteers are the roots of our communities.” During the week, we wanted to celebrate, recognize and thank over 70 volunteers for the time they have donated at the Prostate Cancer Centre and on the MAN VAN over the last year.
In Alberta, 1 in 6 men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer in their lifetime. When detected early, prostate cancer is one of the most successfully treated types of cancer.
The staff and volunteers at the Prostate Cancer Centre are dedicated to educating men about the importance of early detection.
