Ride for Dad

What’s more impressive then the rumble of over 500 bikers armed in leather and chrome heading down Deerfoot Trail? The fact that they have worked hard for many weeks collecting pledges for prostate cancer from family and friends. For the past five years the Calgary Ride for Dad has experienced Alberta’s four seasons all on ride day but the sixth annual ride enjoyed a full day of smiles and sunshine.

The response of Calgary bikers was overwhelming as they cruised through southern Alberta enjoying the sights. It all came to an end in Springbank, with an amazing BBQ, live tunes and lots of shared stories. The generosity of Calgary riders continues to demonstrate the heart of our community. A cheque was presented from the 2012 ride to Southern Alberta Institute of Urology’s Dr. Eric Hyndman for 58,000 dollars to conduct research in Calgary.

This brings the total raised to over $270,000.
