For over twenty years, the Prostate Cancer Centre has provided excellence in medical treatment, patient care, counselling, research and MAN VAN mobile health clinics. We are a registered charity, funded by the generosity of donors and community partners. Donating to our annual “KEEP IT IN ALBERTA” campaign ensures that every dollar raised supports the men in our community.​

About the Prostate Cancer Centre

The Prostate Cancer Centre is a nonprofit committed to saving lives by focusing on early detection of the disease through our one-of-a-kind MAN VAN program; providing wrap-around clinical programs; psychosocial services; and leading in prostate cancer research.

Clinical and research programs are located at the Rockyview General Hospital in the Southern Alberta Institute of Urology  building and offer a streamlined health care model through integrated collaboration with urologists, nurses, researchers and diagnostic services to deliver an exceptional patient experience and outcomes

Our mission is simple, to create better outcomes for those impacted by prostate cancer.

Where your support goes

National campaigns distribute funds raised throughout the country and abroad. By donating to Alberta’s Prostate Cancer Centre you know 100% of your donations will be invested into our local community and benefit the Albertan men in your life.

Programs we need your help to continue:

  • Rapid Access Clinics in Calgary that connect patients to specialists, treatment and post op care including mental wellness all in one place, throughout their cancer journey.
  • Local access to international clinical research trials with break-through therapies for prostate cancer.

  • The MAN VAN program, a mobile health clinic that offers free PSA tests and other health measurements for men throughout Alberta. 

Intimacy and Clinical Sessions we need your help to continue:

Mental wellness and intimacy are major components of our holistic approach to supporting men and their partners through prostate cancer. Some of the clinical services we offer in this area include:

  • Road to Recovery Session– Mental Wellness & Intimacy presentations are included
  • Treatment Options for Erectile Function after Prostate Cancer Treatment, led by Dr. Jay Lee, MD
  • Pelvic Physiotherapy
  • Surgical Options for Incontinence/ Erectile Dysfunction Class
  • Injection Therapy Teaching Classes
  • Wellness support group sessions for patients and partners
  • Couple and individual sessions with a registered psychologist 
  • Nurse Navigator reviews each patient’s needs and creates a tailored experience to refer them into programs or get the help they need for all areas of their recovery – including all programs listed above.

The Prostate Cancer Centre is an Alberta non-profit.
