It’s a ballsy brew tapped to deliver a groin kick to cancer. Calgary’s Village Brewery is once again squeezing the goodness from Prairie oysters, this time to fight prostate cancer. The kitchen at Bottlescrew Bill’s is serving up a trio of the oysters, or bull testicles, to add to a triple-berry brew, or kolsch, in a daring fundraiser to benefit the Calgary Prostate Cancer Centre. On Thursday, the brewer and pub sold pints of the Blue Balls Ale for the admittedly nutty price of $100 each — but it’s a good cause, said Village Brewery founder Jim Button.
