Calgary’s Telus Motorcycle Ride For Dad sees good turnout supporting prostate cancer research

Revving Harleys and leather jackets abounded. Avid bikers gathered in the Deerfoot Mall parking lot Saturday to raise funds to support prostate cancer research. The Calgary Telus Motorcycle Ride For Dad had a hefty turnout of riders, each with a connection to the disease. Volunteer Warren Hearn was taking his Harley out for the ride in memory of his father, Ted Hearn, who died two years ago from the cancer. “It’s a cause that’s near and dear to me,” he said, standing next to his daughter Kyla Hearn who also volunteered to help at the event.
