Why Donate

By the time you finish reading this page, another man will have been diagnosed with prostate cancer. In Alberta, 1 in 7 men will develop prostate cancer in his lifetime, making it the leading men’s cancer. Yet, if detected and treated early there is a 95% survival rate. There is no better time than now to join the fight against prostate cancer. Since its establishment in 1999, the Prostate Cancer Centre (PCC) has converted the generosity of our donors into leading-edge successes, such as:

  • The first and only mobile PSA testing units in Canada.
  • The only private clinic in Canada that offers full wrap around Rapid Access Clinics, research facilities and access to all of Calgary’s urologists under one roof.

The Prostate Cancer Centre raises funds that support education, awareness, and groundbreaking research. We also assist the Southern Alberta Institute of Urology in its mission to improve diagnostic techniques and treatment options, and enhance patient quality of life. All while striving to find a cure for prostate cancer and prostate related diseases. We have accomplished a great deal, but there is still much more to do. Please join us in this journey towards helping men fight and eliminate prostate cancer by donating today.

Event Package

Attending an Event

Events make up a large percentage of the funds we receive that keep our doors open. With diverse events, there is something for everyone. If you enjoy the outdoors, hitting the links, riding a motorbike with a pack, rising early for breakfast, or staying out late and dancing the night away we’d love to have you join us. Check back often to find out about upcoming events in your community.

Sponsorship

When we work together we are able to accomplish amazing things. There are opportunities to support the work at our Centre, including programs and services, Fund A Need, and the Man Van program.
Additionally, many of our community events rely on prizes, donations, and cash sponsorship’s. Check out the opportunities for your business or organization to showcase its commitment to fighting cancer by partnering with PCC.
