Rapid Access Clinics
Express clinics to shorten wait times from a family doctor referral to a consultation with a urologist.
Bi-monthly information sessions (Tuesdays 5:00-7:00pm) are offered to men diagnosed with prostate cancer. These free sessions are available to you and your partner by registration with your Urologist only.
Follow-up care is offered from a post-op management care nurse.

The Prostate Cancer Centre’s Active Surveillance Clinic closely follows carefully selected men with screen detected low risk cancer in the hopes of avoiding or delaying invasive treatment for prostate cancer.
All men who attend the clinic for advanced prostate cancer are considered for referral to the Bone Health Program. The Centre’s Bone Health Specialist facilitates activities virtually (education, bone mineral density testing, medical consultation) to optimize bone health.
A clinic to follow men with advanced prostate cancer with Androgen Deprivation Therapy, referral to the bone health program, and consideration of palliative care consults. A urology nurse practitioner assists with the patient visits and teaching.
Support Classes Androgen Deprivation Therapy (ADT)
A class offered to patients on androgen deprivation therapy. A workbook designed to help men to cope with side effects, some of which can be prevented, and others that can be managed effectively. Patient’s partners and/or loved ones are welcome to attend the class with them.
The class, held monthly, is led by the Tom Baker Cancer Centre’s registered provisional psychologist, Lauren Walker PhD
