Volunteering
Discover Rewarding Volunteer Opportunities
Our volunteers are our most valuable resource. Many of our volunteers have experienced Prostate Cancer first hand and are committed to
sharing their time, talent and experience. There are opportunities available both within the Centre and in the community.
Listed below are some of the opportunities available:
The MAN VAN Program
The Prostate Cancer Centre's MAN VAN program is looking for men who are interested in volunteering as a driver/ host for our free PSA clinics. Requirements are a good driving record, able to drive a 25' vehicle and must like talking to people - if interested please call ((403)943-8952 or email Lori.c@prostatecancercentre.ca
Resource Centre
Volunteers with prostate cancer experience offer supportive, knowledgeable, and compassionate listening. Volunteers also help visitor’s access current information from materials and sources approved by the Medical Advisory Board.
Speakers' Bureau and Displays
Few people are aware of the incidence and impact of prostate cancer. Increased awareness of prostate cancer is an urgent need because of the importance of early diagnosis. Volunteers share their experience and knowledge of prostate cancer with corporate and community groups.
Administration
Volunteers assist by directing calls and with general administrative duties.
Special Events
