Mindfulness at Home Cancer Series

Here’s how The Mindfulness@Home Series works:  

What: This program teaches mindfulness-based stress reduction through a weekly interactive zoom videoconference, daily home practice, and free online resources. An overview of the eight weekly sessions is found below. Archived videos of previous sessions and all course materials will be freely available at www.HealingandCancer.org/MAH  

Who can join/what is the cost: The program is designed for anyone who has been given a cancer diagnosis of any type or stage and at any time. Loved ones are welcome to join too. There is no cost to the participants.  

Who will lead the program: Timothy Walker, PhD, is a Psychotherapist and a gifted Mindfulness Teacher with nearly 25 years of experience leading this training. Oncologist Rob Rutledge, will co-lead this series (see their bios here).  

When/what is the time commitment: The videoconference runs every Friday 9am MST for 90 minutes from May 15 until July 3. Daily ‘home practice’ (suggested minimum 15 minutes per day) and other exercises will be assigned every week.  

Confidentiality/looking for volunteers share their experience: We will film the weekly sessions in a way that maintains confidentiality. Everyone who registers for the program must agree to our confidentiality agreement. 

How to register/breakout groups: You (as an individual) can register here. You will receive an email with a www.Zoom.us meeting ID and password which will remain the same throughout the eight-week program.

June 19th 9am – 10:30am MST: Principals of Aikido in conflict and struggle  
June 26th 9am – 10:30am MST – Hardwiring resilience appreciation and gratitude  
July 3rd 9am – 10:30am MST: Mindful relationships, communication, intimacy
