Early detection of Prostate Cancer saves lives. The Prostate Cancer Centre recommends men have a baseline PSA (prostate specific antigen) blood test at age 40. If results are normal the test should be repeated every five years until age 50. Men over 50 should have a PSA test every year. It is recommended to have both DRE(digital rectal exam) and PSA screening.
